INITIAL VISIT:Your initial visit to the office will consist of meeting the doctor and a clinical examination to determine if you will benefit from orthodontic treatment and if you are ready to begin. If you will benefit from orthodontics but are not ready dentally to begin, you will be placed on Observation/Recall. Treatment ideas and approximate costs are also discussed. This visit will be approximately 20-30 minutes long.
RECORDS: If you are ready for orthodontics the next step would be diagnostic records which is an 80 minute visit that consists of study models, computer photos and x-rays. This fee will be determined at the initial visit.
CONFERENCE: After your records, the doctor will develop the treatment plan and will meet with you to discuss it in detail as well as the exact cost.
APPOINTMENTS: When you move forward with treatment the initial start appointment is usually between 50-120 minutes long. Orthodontic treatment is an excellent investment in the overall dental, medical and psychological well-being of children and adults. Financial considerations should not be an obstacle to obtaining this important health service. We are sensitive to the fact that people have different needs in fulfilling these obligations so we provide the following payment options:
We are providers under Delta Dental, Blue Cross. We accept payment directly from them. All other insurances will pay you directly but our office will submit the claims for you. Most insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is different from your regular dental coverage.
Please remember: If your orthodontic insurance benefits change during the course of you or your child’s treatment, any expected insurance that is not paid will become the patient’s responsibility.
